About the Role
Working across major mining shutdowns, sustaining capital projects and maintenance campaigns, you will be responsible for leading execution teams to safely and efficiently deliver critical works on fixed plant assets.
  
You will work closely with client representatives, contractors, planners, schedulers and site leadership teams to ensure shutdown and project activities are executed safely, efficiently and to schedule.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate shutdown and project execution activities
• Drive safe work practices and promote a strong safety culture
• Manage frontline supervisors and contractor work groups
• Monitor schedule compliance and proactively address execution risks
• Coordinate daily work fronts and shift priorities
• Liaise with maintenance, operations and project stakeholders
• Provide detailed shift reporting and handovers
• Ensure quality, productivity and client expectations are achieved
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement during execution

About You
You are a respected leader with a strong background in mining maintenance, shutdowns or project delivery. We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate most of the following:  

• Significant experience supervising fixed plant shutdowns and/or mining projects
• Mechanical or Electrical trade qualification
• Section 26 qualification
• Current C-Class Driver’s Licence
• National Police Clearance
• Current CSE, WAH and Gas Testing qualifications (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• A demonstrated commitment to safety leadership
• The ability to build strong relationships with clients and work crews

Highly Regarded

• Experience on BHP, Rio Tinto, FMG or HIO operations
• Multi-disciplinary shutdown experience
• Contractor management experience
• Planning, scheduling or work management exposure
